Three Hours + Big Feelings.

Today’s post is sponsored by adidas. Thank you so very much for supporting us and our sponsors!

For the first time in my 13 years of motherhood, all of our kids will be in school at the same time 5 days a week—> for a whole three hours a day. Beck is officially heading off every morning now, backpack bouncing, hair styled just like Andrew’s, and I’m torn between crying, patting myself on the back, and figuring out how far I can run into the mountains in those three hours each day.

It’s bittersweet… Those little years felt endless at times, and now they’re slipping away, but at the same time, I couldn’t love each of their stages they are in any more than I do now. At some point, I’ll stop fearing change and embrace it because they just keep getting better and better.

This year, we wanted our back-to-school picks to be as versatile as our days—> pieces that are comfortable, durrable, and ready for everything from the playground races to after-school errands (which always involve a slice of pumpkin bread if Beck has a say). adidas has been our go-to for years because their styles work for active kids (and moms!!) who need clothes that can keep up with whatever we have planned, while still looking good. Whether it’s soft sets for busy mornings or sneakers that can survive the playground, these are the pieces we’re loving for this season.

Beck’s Picks:

Shorts and Tee Set Kids:  Lightweight, soft, and perfect for a kid who thinks climbing everything he sees is an Olympic sport. The matching set makes morningss easy with zero outfit negotiations.

Hoodie Cargo Set Kids: For those chilly fall mornings coming up. The cargo pockets have already been filled with LEGOs and special rocks. So basically, they’re perfect.

Handball Spezial Shoes Kids: Classic adidas style that are playground-proof. Beck says they make him “faster,” and who am I to argue when I KNOW that certain shoes make me feel faster, too.

Anti-Slip Socks 2 Pairs Kids: They stay up, they don’t twist, and they pass Beck’s comfort test (which is saying a lot).

Adicolor Classic Backpack: Who wouldn’t be excited to put this bright and happy backpack on?

My Picks (for when I get home froM chasing Max around the mountains):

Adidas Z.N.E. Pants: The perfect “school drop-off, quick errands, I have a run later/I just finished my run” pants. Smooth fabric, relaxed fit, and they somehow look put-together without me having to try.

Adidas Z.N.E. Tee: Soft, breathable, and equally great for an actual workout or pretending I just finished one.

Adidas Z.N.E. Shorts: Lightweight with the perfect length, comfortable enough for lounging or running around town picking up my kids.

Slide Graphic Tee: Bright, fun, and easy to throw on—> my new errands go-to.

Gazelle Bold Shoes: Retro, comfortable for all-day wear!!, and the easiest way to make jeans/leggings/shorts and a tee look like you just casually negative-split the school drop-off.

I’m going to miss my little sidekick with me everywhere I go but he really could not be more ready. He’s been watching the other three go to school each day his entire life and wants to be just like them. As much as I want him to stay this size forever, I can’t wait to see the big things he does in his life and to find the things that lights him up the most.

This year we still get to share lunch every day, and I fully plan on savoring our mid-day chats over chicken nuggets, and cucumbers, as I get to hear about the classroom happenings from his perspective.
