Brooke has high school soccer tryouts in the spring, and she is feeling motivated to get ready for them. She asked to go on a 2-mile run yesterday morning… Yes, please.
And then when we got back, Skye was ready to go out for a mile, too. Skye is extremely cautious not to step on any cracks when we run. If you need a distraction during your runs, channel Skye and focus on avoiding the cracks.
I’m happy to report that I’m injury-free post-marathon. You never know fully until you run again…
I’m really into Greek yogurt bowls lately.
I got to go to Beck’s class and bring some of his favorite things-> Pirate’s Booty and chocolate milk.
It doesn’t matter if the clocks move forward or backward; we all need a nap.

*It’s our Beck’s birthday today. 5!! This little guy is something else. He is incredibly kind and sweet. He is my snuggle bug. He would build Legos all day if he could, he loves soccer, and is on cloud nine when a friend comes over to play. He is Nutella’s #1 consumer and loves any and every vehicle. He makes all of our lives so beautiful. I cannot wait to spoil him today. I feel incredibly lucky to have had him as my constant sidekick and to get to learn so much about him over the last five years. I cannot wait to see the big, wonderful life ahead for him.
*It’s Curly’s birthday today, too! She and Beck are birthday twins, even though she told me the day I told her I was pregnant with Beck that I’d better not have the baby on her birthday, despite his due date being a few weeks after hers;) She now loves sharing her birthday with him, and I can’t wait to celebrate this amazing human, too. I love her so much.
*It’s wild to me how we all perceive temperatures so differently:
*Kylie Mantz (Conner Mantz’s wife) just ran a 2:43 this weekend in her FIRST marathon. I love that Conner paced her for the entire 26.2! If they have children… can you even imagine their speed?
*Fast Women posted this yesterday… Women are on fire!
*I absolutely love the Nobody Asked Us podcast with Des and Kara. In the latest episode, they mentioned the upcoming World Treadmill Championships. Although they aren’t fans of the idea for a few reasons, I’m actually really excited about this and looking forward to seeing what people can do on the treadmill!
