Running Before the CEO (Beck) Woke Up + Proud + Overstimulated

(top, shorts, shoes)
Beck told me and Andrew that we could only bike, run, or work when he was asleep because he had every minute of the day planned… I got in six miles @ 8:47 pace before he woke up. I am going to get in a few good runs before I have to take time off for my gum graft next week–> I called my doctor, and he said I will have to wait 1-2 weeks to get my heart rate up, so I will live through your runs.

Oh, to be five again.

He got his Nutella crepes.

He said his back was hurting from building Legos for a few hours straight.

Beck chose In-n-Out…

Andrew was proud.

We went to my least favorite and their most favorite place… I get so overstimulated at arcades.

Touching grass was necessary afterward for my nervous system.

Followed by some hill sprints… There is still no way I could do such a thing post-marathon.

And then we got to see Beck’s birthday twin.

And he chose ice cream over cake for his birthday dessert.

Are there any places that kids love to go that drive you crazy?
Parents-> If your kids chose all the meals for a day, where would you end up?
What’s a running ‘rule’ you ignore and turn out just fine?
-The replace shoes every 300–500 miles rule. I replace shoes when my body starts complaining which is sometimes before 300 and many times after 500 miles.
Weirdest thing you’ve ever seen on a run?
