Beck had a rough night of sleep, and I was up with him, which meant I didn’t get out for my run and finished with it until 10 am. It was toasty, but it did more for me than the gift of caffeine could ever offer!
I was listening to the latest Mel Robbins podcast, and this quote motivated me to get my yoga mat out after the run when a cold shower was all I wanted to do-> “Exercise is the single habit that can reverse your biological age.”
We took a break from our summer morning checklists (chores, hugs, prayers, reading, and movement) while we had guests here, but we are back at it now. What the girls are currently reading:
A quick hair and eyebrow color. Doing this at home has saved me so much mula, and it only takes 20 minutes.
I was reminded of another simple habit for our health from the podcast I mentioned above, which is about putting down the phone. My favorite days are the ones where I use our home phone (no internet… I just use it for the camera and for Andrew to get in touch with me). It helps me stay present and connected to my people and whatever strangers I force to talk to me;)
My nephew and his girlfriend invited us to go to lunch with them at our favorite joint–> El Tio. There is no better taco on earth than their blackened fish tacos.
My nephew was in Costa Rica for most of the summer and came back with this braid.
Maybe the sleeping at night thing would go better if we stopped summer napping, but how could I ever wake him up when he is this cute?!
Grilled cheese and tomato soup are a year-round meal for us, even when it is 100°F out.

Also, does anyone remember my Victoria’s Secret lip gloss obsession? It was discontinued, and I’ve been searching for the most similar gloss. I found it. I’m pretty sure it’s the exact same one, and it’s even buy 3 get 1 free right now.
