Running

I will never do that again.

Don’t fully trust our smiles. We had fun and laughed a lot, but I felt like death. It took me a few hours to realize why I felt so awful, and I concluded that it was because I didn’t have any caffeine before my run. We were already running late, so we rushed out the door without my morning best friend. I used to only use caffeine before big workouts, long runs, or races, but these days, my PERK energy each morning is a requirement, not a choice;). I vow never to let this happen again… or I could do the hard work to control my caffeine consumption, but that is asking for way too much during this season of my life.

Beck and I got to join Skye on her field trip. We all walked to a museum and spent time there before walking back. Getting to know the 1st grade tea is more fun for me than it should be.

Turns out I’m going to wait a few more months for my weighted vest purchase because piggyback rides are still a very regular occurrence:

We were both very grateful for a lazy few hours with an empty calendar for the rest of the day.

Skye is milking this tooth-pulling situation and said blueberry muffins would help her feel better;) These taste more like cake than muffins. They are gone in seconds.

We had a huge thunderstorm with hail (after this picture)… I’m so nervous for our garden!

Rainy days mean we play a lot of card games over here…

A lot.

Brooke has been doing all of the sourdough around here, and I felt like I was forgetting how to do it, so I prepared a loaf. Andrew was on call yesterday and never had to go in, which was a huge win.

I was complaining on Strava about my watch being dramatic about my elevation gain lately, and my friend (Jeff, the coach of all coaches) let me know how to fix it… Has anyone else had this happen to them? I wish I could believe I hit 8,000ft of climbing last week, but it was just the sensor needing a cleaning, haha.

Caffeine before a run? Must, requirement, sometimes, depends, don’t need it, nahhh? Have you always been this way?

-I used to have a choice, but that choice has been taken from me;)

Anyone reading ever on call for their job?

Tell us your favorite card game so we can play!
