Running

Do you ever get frustrated at yourself for this?

(top, bottoms)

A run with Skye and a run with friends for my Wednesday morning. Maddie is moving away to Arkansas and my heart hurts. We’ve run together for 6 years now and Arkansas feels way too far away. We didn’t plan the white and blue combo but it sure worked out nice.

I found quite a deal on cold plunges up the canyon;)

Maddie’s fun nails if anyone is looking for some inspiration:

And Jo had cinnamon rolls for us to munch on afterward. What a morning!

Skye wanted to run a mile, so I attempted to keep up with her at the track.

We then went to BYU and the kids talked us into gear for the upcoming football games…

We play so much Uno over here… anyone else?

We got out for our weekly date! At dinner, we talked about how we can’t believe we’ve been married 9 years as of next month.

We visited one of my nieces at work, and I had the most perfect tenderloins.

I keep seeing these Dubai bars around… has anyone tried them? Would I like them?

Do you ever get frustrated at yourself for not sticking to something you have promised yourself you would? I think family, God, running, and blogging are the only things I stick to, which makes me so frustrated when I drop doing other things I say I will. So, in case you do that too… You aren’t alone. One week, I swear I’ll eat 100+ grams of protein a day for the rest of my life because of how much better it makes me feel, and the next I eat a loaf of sourdough bread and look at my butter crossing my fingers it has some protein in it;). I’ll go a few weeks off scrolling and notice how free I feel, and then scroll through all of IG in one sitting. Some days I vow that I will stop getting mad over stupid things and the next hour, I am mad about something even more stupid. I’ll be so good at avoiding drive-thrus in the quest to create beautiful meals for my family and the next month I will have spent our eating out budget for the month in 3 days at Chick-fil-A.

Being a human is interesting. But if you are like I am and find yourself not always sticking to things that you’ve set out to stick to, let’s all give ourselves some grace and call it ‘being adventurous’ and wanting to try out every way of life;). It’s amazing how much better we will feel focusing on what we are doing right vs what we ‘think’ we aren’t. Today, let’s focus on the things we are doing right. The happiest people in the world are the ones that are kindest to themselves, I think we can stick to that today.

What are some things you are doing right these days?

When was the last time you moved?

-7 years ago! Before that, I was moving around at least once a year for a while!

Dubai chocolate bars… tried them?

Tell me what your run is today!
