Let’s Catch Up + 9 Years + My Prime Picks!

It feels like it has been quite some time since we caught up on things. So, let’s go for it: Brooke headed out for her longer trip of the year with her dad, so it was an airport day over the weekend. There was also a run over the weekend where, with each mile, I cut a mile out from my original plan for the day and eventually ended up walking home. Running exhausted is not fun. Walking felt right.

Is Skye the only one who eats a drumstick cone from the bottom up?

The Utah Valley Marathon adjusted its course slightly to stay under 1,500 ft, avoiding any time additions for Boston.

That post-race-need-someone-to-carry-us feeling:

It was so fun seeing her in a race, focused, and so determined to beat the boy in her school class.

I didn’t think anyone loved Michael Scott more than me until I saw this guy’s shirt.

Okay, one last race pic… I’m just still living on a high from those 35 minutes.

When an unaccompanied minor flies, you wait at the gate until they are well on their way before leaving. Brooke could see me from her window on the plane and dared us to play ‘Simon Says’ via text (she takes the home phone to California)… never have I danced in the airport until this last weekend.

I couldn’t quite see her, but I pretended to…

Beck next to his great-grandpa taking the nap of his life after going big all day with cousins…

It’s our 9th wedding anniversary! Life with Andrew is full, unpredictable, and better than I could have ever imagined. He’s seen me at my best, my worst, and my post-long-run-haven’t-eaten-yet-I’m-hangry moments… and treats me like gold through it all. I’d choose this life with him every time.

Happy Prime Day Sale🥳! It starts today and lasts 4 days. In case you want to know my favorites, here ya go:
*My GPS Watch! Couldn’t love it any more than I do. I recommend it to every type of runner. It records my elevation gains and losses on runs way better than my Garmin, the screen is bright, the nozel on the side makes it easy to scroll through allllll of the different options on the watch, it is much lighter, and the velcro strap allows it to fit perfectly.
*The best lulu shorts dupes out there. We all need them in blue. They feel like they should cost way more and the matching top is so perfect, too. Oh, and the best long-sleeve dupe for running.
*The short sleeve top that I always get a question about when I wear it.
*Hair obsessions–> my favorite dry shampoo, hair growing vitamins that I swear helps, and this leave-in conditioner.
*The bed sheet set that feels like they should cost more.
*My fake tree that I love in my house.
*My fave white tank.
*The best and most flattering one piece I’ve ever found.
*My running leash for max that makes life much easier.
*The packing cubes that I won’t travel without! I love this luggage, too. I also bring my pillow with me when I travel because I can’t live without it.
*I love these pjs.
*These wide-legged yoga pants are so good.
*Brooke and I both swear by these sandals.
*My padded sleeping mask… sadly, I can’t use a normal one after this one because it has spoiled me.
*My alarm clock so I can have my phone in the bathroom while I sleep.
*My sister swears by the Shark Blow Dryer (and so do her girls).
*The shapeweear I use with every dress.
*The cutest erasable pens that your kids will go CRAZY for.
*The oil sprayer that makes cooking much easier.
*The most flattering t-shirt (double lined) that comes in every color possible. My favorite oversized t-shirt.
*The face serum and eyelash serum that I use daily.
*My teeth are very sensitive and these teeth whitening strips do the job without any pain.
*My electric toothbrush that I bring with me when we travel because I can’t live without it. If you are brushing too hard it lights up which has saved my gums.
*The BEST jean shorts IMO.
*Every morning of my life starts with Perk Energy Protein.
*My running vest that accompanies me on every adventure. My handheld water bottle that I adore.
*The car vaccum that keeps me sane.
*I love these running sunglasses and daily wear sunglasses.
*The TENS machine that saved my back last year.
*I tell everyone to get the Modern Manners for Teens… we go over one each week.
*A few favorite kid things: mini building pieces, my kids are magnatile obsessed, this art easel my girls adore, bean boozled is hilarious to play with them, and our favorite card/board games to play together: First to Last, Chronology, SkyeJo, Monopoly Deal, Suspend, and Do You Know Your Family?
