Coming up on this new school year feels a little different than normal. It’s still the usual rush of thinking about getting all of the supplies, figuring out schedules, and the hope that we can get back to a normal routine (with bedtimes for all of us before 11 pm), but it also feels like a moment. A shift. And as much as I want to freeze time, I’m also loving who she’s becoming. I can’t get enough of seeing her develop her passions, create strong relationships with her peers, and figure out who she is… It’s better than I could have ever imagined.

So we did what any mom-daughter duo would do during a transitional life moment—> we shopped.
We picked out some of our favorite adidas pieces to help us feel confident heading into this new school year. Because when everything else feels wild, at least our outfits can feel put-together (and comfortable).

A bit about our top picks for this school year:
Soft Lux Tank -> Soft, breathable, and perfect for layering or wearing solo. Brooke said it “feels like something you could sleep in but makes you feel like you have your life together” and I fully agree.
Soft Lux Loose Shorts -> Brooke immediately claimed them as her new go-to for everything from school to lounging. I’m wearing them too and they are SO soft and comfortable
Adicolor Trefoil Boxy Tee -> A staple tee but with personality. I love the slightly oversized fit and how it magically goes with every pairs of shorts I own.
adidas x Fortnite Biker Shorts -> These are so fun, bold, and they don’t ride up (praises!) while running. Also, a Fortnite collab = instant cool mom points according to Knox.
Adicolor Classic Firebird Loose Track Top -> This track top gives a vintage look that is so bright and fun. It’s the layer I;ll be grabbing for chilly mornings and school drop-off runs (emphasis on run).
adidas Z.N.E. Short -> The fit is relaxed but not sloppy, which is basically the dream. Feels like pajamas, looks like we got dressed. That’s the win-win we’re all looking for.
adidas Gazelle Shoes -> Brooke calls theem “the shoes that make any outfit look good.” And honestly… she’s not wrong. They go with everything and then some.
Adizero Evo SL Shoes -> I wear adidas running shoes for almost every run. These ones are supportive enough for the long haul and light enough for any type of run you want. These feel like the happy medium between a speed shoe and something you’ll want to wear for every training run. Plus, the colors will make you excited to get out for some miles. I’m an adizero fan for life.
I’ve always loved how running grounds me when life feels like it’s moving too fast.
And wow, life is moving fast. Watching Brooke step into this new phase is exciting and emotional and nostalgic all at once. I still see the tiny girl cheering me on at finish lines… and now I see someone I’m learning from.
