We were not prepared for that + I am so relieved.

There’s not a thing in the world I would trade this morning scene in for… It’s the highlight of the entire day.

We call these ‘Witch Hats’ and it might be the best snack out there. We should copyright this recipe because it is so original.

We initially planned to do our workout at the BYU track, but after seeing all the pros there, we decided to switch to a different track. I mean, I’m sure we could have helped them with pacing, but we weren’t going to do that for free;)
So, we went to a track with a McDonald’s across the street. The smell was so strong we could taste Big Macs for 150m of each lap. That was a challenge we weren’t prepared for. But, it didn’t stop us from nailing the workout and singing along to The Fate of Ophelia along the way.

The workout (12 days before the marathon): 6 x 800m @ 3:05 (we hit between 3:03-3:05), 2-3 minute standing recovery after each one, 8 x 400 @ 90 and work down a bit (started with 89s and worked down to 82), 90 second standing recoveries after each one.

I LOVED the 800s and felt like I could have kept doing those all day, but those 400s made me work in the end.

Jess’ husband finished the workout with this…

We found a SOLUTION that has been worrying me… The past 10 days, Skye has had really bad ear pain and headaches. We took her to the pediatrician, who thought it was an ear infection. After antibiotics weren’t helping, I took her to an ENT, who ran all of the tests and said the pain wasn’t coming from her ears and told us it could be from her teeth. So, we went to the dentist and found a massive molar just trying to make its way up and out, which is bugging the nerves and causing the pain. I am so relieved we have an answer!
Beck was happy to watch the movie on the ceiling while we waited at the dentist.

Costco samples were on point yesterday.

Beck told me that for his birthday in less than a month, all he wants is a Costco pizza sauce dispenser.

A hello from the pups. Getting Max to sit still for a picture is pretty much impossible.

What smells did you come across on any of your last few runs?
-Running by a house where I can smell their laundry going is one of my top favorite running experiences.
Do you prefer 800s or 400s, or would you rather do 1600s?
If you could go on a long run with any fictional character (book, movie, or TV), who would it be?
Do you get headaches often?
