Can she do it? I needed to stretch myself.

I got out of my comfort zone and joined Emilee at the track. She is starting her next build, and I decided I needed to stretch myself and join her at the track yesterday. I was surprised by my times because it has been so long since I’ve done a workout like this, but I’m guessing it’s because the trails have kept my fitness going.
2-mile w/u, 1 mile, 1200m, 800m, 400m, 4 x 200m. The hardest part by FAR was the 200s. Those hurt, and I did in fact see stars.
It was my first time trying out the Adizero Adios Pro 4s. I’ve worn the 3s for years, and I am positive they are the longest-lasting shoes I’ve ever owned (tied with the Asics Superblasts).
The 4s were a BLAST to run in yesterday. When I do a marathon again, I will be wearing these shoes. They felt like I was running on an antigravity track (is that a thing?) because they bounce you so high with each step.

With more mileage on them, I’ll write about all of the changes I have noticed between the 3s and 4s:

My goal going into the workout was to be able to run a mile faster than I could when I went to high school here:). I also did my student teaching at this high school which are some of my favorite memories.

Yesterday we were talking about how the year we started running together (2019) legit feels like it was a year ago.

The dogs took the kids on a walk.

And it was another stay at home kind of a day.

Emily told me about the Burger Bowl with House Sauce and Ranch Fries and I had to make it mine… If you love a burger, try this now.

Now for a few more things before I say goodbye today:
*Kristin sent me her morning run photo from the Texas coast. It made my day. Please send me your sunrise or sunset runs. Nothing gives me more hope than a sunrise.

Can she do it??? I think she can and I can’t wait to watch today.

Do you think Faith can do it??
Tell me a way that you have stretched yourself lately!
Do you prefer doing speed on the roads or the track?
Thoughts and feelings on burgers?
