Why didn’t I start this sooner? When I say we…

Lauren and Em for yesterday’s run. Emilee had 12 miles to do for her training, and somehow, I did them with her without it feeling too difficult… the running fitness is coming back! For some reason, running the day after biking feels so good. Can anyone explain this phenomenon?
The ‘setting the alarm clock earlier so I can have a slower morning’ thing is going very smoothly… I don’t know why I didn’t start this sooner. Just a few minutes of stillness reading and drinking my perk energy chai makes the rest of the day go better.
We started another project… Redoing a bathroom. When I say we, I mean Andrew, I cannot wait to see how it turns out when he is all done.
Brooke and I were chatting about the days that she was honestly sick 1-2 times a month for a long time. While getting her tonsils out led to a really scary and very rare situation (Strep A in her blood, muscles, and bones), at least now she is NEVER sick. She hasn’t been sick once since she got her tonsils out nine months ago.
Curly is Brooke’s cousin, but it feels like she is actually Brooke’s older sister.
Beck had a very important to-do item on his list: he needed to make his cousin a cake for her birthday.
Brooke made me a bookmark with what I’ve determined to be my new life motto once I saw it, “Read more, worry less.”
I have a new bean bag reading buddy.
For dinner we made something we saw all over IG again: roasted sweet potatoes, ground beef cooked with taco seasoning and cheese, cottage cheese, and avocado. Looks weird, tastes amazing.

A winter reminder of how strange runners are:
*I’m heartbroken over the LA fires and have family that have had to evacuate. If anyone knows of ways we can help, please include them in today’s comments.

Does anyone currently have a house project going on?
Is there anything that you do now that you wish you had started sooner?
Who has a tonsil success story of it cutting out a lot of sickness in your life?
What temperature in your opinion makes it too cold to go for a run?
-When in training, lower than 6°F and I’m in. When I’m not in training, I’m not as tough and probably draw the line at around 15°F🤣
