Tuesday Tangents!

(vest. jacket, leggings, gloves, beanie)
It took me about 3.5 hours of procrastinating to get out the door for my run. Something about single-digit temperatures freaks me out, so I waited until it was a balmy 12°F. It turns out it was all meant to be that I went late because I ran right in front of Coach Diljeet Taylor. I’m sure she considered asking me to join her pro team for some workouts as a pacer but didn’t want to interrupt my run;)

Not a lot happened yesterday besides Brooke and I hanging out just the two of us at home for a bit. It was so quiet.

The day ended with the College Football National Championship and one of my favorite snacks.

Now for the some tangents today:
*It makes me pretty happy that you can’t tell who is who with my sister and me from the top of our heads;). We used the same hair dye.

*Skye’s current book obsession:

We never know where we are going to find her reading:

*I shared this on IG, but I have to share it here too, because it meant so much to me. I had finished a run, and there was a doordash delivery on my porch. Knox spent $17 to send me fries and a DDP (two of my favorite things on the planet). He used his school computer and his Greenlight card to do it. I don’t know how I got so lucky. This boy’s heart is pure gold.

*This is the last year they will be at the same school together and I don’t want it to end.

*Remember that you do not have to believe your thoughts. My brain was spiraling with quite the stories I was making up/predicting the other day, and I actually stopped what I was doing and told myself, “I don’t have to believe this.”
*We are really on the Marry Me Chicken train and tried a new version on top of pasta—another winner.

*Do you and your running friends ever stop mid-run and learn new pelvic floor exercises?

*I’ve been paying Curly to come over and organize areas in my house. She is changing my life.

A question from Corry: “I’m thinking of trying a pair of Hokas but not sure which ones to try. I normally wear Asics Kayano, because I need a bit of stability. If you or your readers could recommend a style of Hokas, that would be appreciated. Thanks!”
