Tuesday Tangents! – The Hungry Runner Girl

BYU Soccer Camp is in Brooke and Knox’s top 2 favorite things list for their ENTIRE year. BYU Soccer Camp fills up in 2 minutes once registration opens. The stress we felt yesterday morning getting three kids (Skye wants to go this summer) into soccer camp for this summer was quite high. Luckily, Skye’s age takes a few more minutes to fill up, so we got Brooke and Knox in and then Skye. Never have I seen Andrew and I typing faster than we did yesterday morning. 3/3 success. We will have to get my mom over here to help if Beck wants to start going in the future.

6 miles @ 8:25 average with the sun shining directly on my face.

It was Skye’s 100th day at school, and my mom has a few items from her family that are 100 years old (some closer to 138 years old) and so she brought them to show the class. I loved hearing stories of her great grandma and seeing her little shoes.

We are back into reading Harry Potter together.

I made this cute ravioli from Costco for dinner, along with this easy french bread and roasted brussel sprouts. Winner winner.

Now for the tangents:
*I have loved Josh Lynott’s IG lately (below screenshot from his IG). Check it out if you haven’t already. He offers a free Running Mindfullness Method HERE that is short but so great. “Look after your mind first, and your running will improve.” The questions at the end were so good for me to sit with and write about in my journal. I hope you love it too.

*I did something silly on Saturday. I thought that because I’ve built up so much strength since my injury, my back could handle a few weighted deadlifts. Nope. It didn’t hurt anything like it used to but I was quickly reminded that I don’t think deadlifts will be a part of my life again. I don’t need to be putting any extra pressure there.
*A glimpse at the language my niece is now learning to go and live in Bulgaria!

*I simply cannot wait to complain about summer running weather and sweat in my eyeballs.

*I made these crockpot enchiladas and added this sauce from TJ’s as the enchilada sauce and it was perfection.

*Andrew is making some significant progress on our bathroom… We are going for a moody little powder room.

Do you speak more than one language?
-I barely know this one (as you can tell from reading my blog;). I’m amazed by anyone that does!
Have you ever gone to any summer camps growing up? Parents reading, any that your kids love or loved?
Have any tangents today?
Any strength moves or exercises you just cannot do anymore?!
