It was Lauren’s birthday yesterday and so we got together for 10 miles in the sun!
Toward the end of our run, I heard a group of runners on the narrow dirt trail behind us and looked to see Clayton Young and Conner Mantz. I whipped out my camera right after they passed me, haha. I’m still kicking myself for not congratulating Conner on his recent American 1/2 Marathon record as they zoomed by!
I’m not much of an Oreo gal, but the Birthday Cake ones are pretty good.
We are still using my sister’s coupon book (it’s called the Starving Student Card for Utah Countyians) as much as we possibly can.
We went for breakfast and these kids wanted grilled cheese waffles with tomato bisque. It’s something else.
TANGENT TIME!!
*How was I 39 years old when I learned you could open a 1/2 gallon of ice cream like this… I’ve always opened from the other end and managed to get ice cream all over my hand.

*I just learned how to dry fluffy coats/vests properly… Tumble dry it on low heat with a few clean tennis balls! It works and the tennis balls fluff it back up.
*He still refuses to step on cracks.
*I’ll get out my Grant Fisher pic any chance that I can… Did you see him smash two indoor world records within 6 days of each other this month? He ran the 5,000 meters in just 12:44 and the 3,000 meters in 7:22!
*And a new men’s world record in Barcelona over the weekend–> Jacob Kiplimo, a 56:42 minute 1/2 Marathon! An average pace of 4:20 for 13.1 miles.
