We steer clear of the canyon most of the winter because it is usually very windy and frigid but yesterday was nice enough to run in my favorite spot. 15 mile @ 8:03 pace and I’m not going to lie, this week has been pretty hard, but the miles made everything feel much better.
So did this candy that a neighbor dropped off.
To get to play outside after school felt pretty lucky…
Brooke and I differ greatly with our opinions on the proper chip to salsa ratio. Maybe as she ages, she will learn. Who’s right?
Now let’s get going with my favorite things this week:
*I am getting a few little things for my kids for Valentine’s Day in case you are looking for anything! This game, these earrings for the girls, this $8 heart blanket, this sweet book, and my current favorite lip gloss and lip mask for me (and for Brooke to steal;). I got these sticky hand Valentines to pass out to their classes.
*I had a few people ask what I bought with the Mango kid’s huge sale for our trip and here we go: I got both girls the hooded button coat (I went up a size so it will fit them for a few winters), Skye the button knit cardigan, corduroy pinafore, hoodie ($8), ribbed t-shirt, pocket t-shirt, buttoned denim skirt, paris hat, bear print sweatshirt, striped cotton t-shirt, buttoned cotton t-shirt, and pjs. I got the quilted cotton jacket:
*Birthday gift to myself… the lululemon bag. I really needed a bag for our trip, and this one met all of the requirements.
*Athleta is having a sale with up to 60% off new markdowns, HERE! I’m also drooling over their Galentine’s Shop.
*There are a lot of reasons we will probably stay in Utah forever, one of them being BYU creamery ice cream. Utahns, please try the Coconut Joy.
*Beck’s teacher recommended this learning set for Beck, which is currently 46% off. It is helping him figure out his sounds and the correct order. He loves using the little pen to press the hot dots, and it is also helping him with math, too. The pen lets you know if you are right or wrong. I wish I would have used this with all of our kids!
*These, each of these. I feel like I’ve messed up so many times this week but I’m excited for a fresh day to try again.
