Running

Friday Favorites + October Bestsellers.

Good morning and Happy Halloween! I’m still waiting for a few more days before I try running again, but my body is feeling significantly better. Recovery isn’t what it used to be in my twenties!

Skye could read all day…

Speaking of reading, turns out I don’t need as much sleep when I’m not running which means I’m getting a lot more reading in, too. I started this one, and I don’t want to put it down.

The BEST time of year:

I swear it was just last year when I was getting home from middle school and my mom would scratch my head…

Andrew made this pumpkin bread, and our house still smells good because of it.

Let’s hop right in to some favorites from this week:

*This soup is our favorite… We put it in the crockpot this time, added sweet potatoes and peppers for some extra veggies, and it was magnificent.

*Jess replaced my Summer Fridays that I accidentally dropped on the marathon course. It was so thoughtful I almost cried.

*I got my #1 favorite jeans that I wear more than any other jeans in black, too! They are so so good. Size down 1-2 sizes and enjoy feeling comfortable all day long. There is zero part of me that misses tight jeans.

*The world’s best running shorts are more than half off! Size down one size and enjoy all of the pockets and owning shorts that stay in place during your entire run.

*Sam’s Club snacks > Costco snacks. These are our favorites at Sam’s:

*Gap is 50% off your purchase, plus another 20% off with the code ADDON–>. I have my eye on this gorgeous wool coat, this cardigan, and here. Of course, I can’t not mention my favorite sweater ever.

To end October off, I thought I would round up the top sellers from my blog this month!

#1. This perfect Amazon long sleeve shirt is still on sale.

#2. This oversized sweatshirt!

#3. These wide-leg yoga pants.

#4. These joggers (turns out we all really love to be comfortable)!

#5. These boots.

#6. Our favorite protein powder.

#7. This vest.

#8. My daily clogs.

#9. These pjs.

#10. A book I read and loved.

To everyone running NYC on Sunday–> Soak it all in. The energy in New York is like nothing else. The crowds will carry you through every single mile. The bridges and early excitement can trick you into going too fast so stay patient, because you’ll want those legs later in Central Park. Take your nutrition early, stay steady through the Queensboro Bridge, and when you hit 1st Ave, let that roar light you up. The last few miles are tough, but you’ve got the best finish line in the world waiting for you.
