Running

Desert Island, weekend things, a fartlek hill progression Run.

Let’s start things off with a hello from Keira (does it get any better that she moved to Utah?!?)! We got to chat for a while after her long run on Saturday, and I am so excited for her year of racing and her book (you can pre-order her book now)! She is something else.

My Saturday long run happened much too early but I woke up naturally (much too early) and went out and got it done.

This is what I like to call a fartlek hill progression run haha. It was random but a fun one. 10 miles @ 7:28 average. As much as I love a training plan, there’s times where I want to just let my legs make the decisions.

As you know, I have adored the adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3s for forever. They would be my desert island shoes (<-aka if you could only take one pair of shoes with you to a desert island for the rest of your life, I would choose these) because I have such a strong attachment to them. I REALLY want to try out the Adizero Adios Pro 4s now that they are out. Has anyone reading tried them? What are your thoughts?

Just me, Knox, a parking lot, and some free burritos a la my sister’s coupon card she gave me.

My sis and her crew invited us to the gymnastics gym with them.

Perfecting our breakdancing moves.

We also got some skiing in with Lauren.

Just the littlest skiier.

And Andrew and I got out for a butterfinger shake from Chubby’s. We will be back.

The tables have turned… We went out and shopped for something for Andrew to wear to his race next month-> A 50 mile mountain bike race with 6000ft of climbing.

On Sunday we went over to my sister’s house for my nephew’s birthday dinner.

Brooke was with her dad this weekend but made it to the second half of the birthday party.

My nephew requested a milkshake between cookies and he’s a genius for this creation.

I hope your Monday is off to a great start!

What would be your desert island running shoes?

Who has a February birthday, race, or anniversary?

*It’s my birth month, and I’m ready to celebrate.

Any highlights from your weekend?

Ever done a race that wasn’t running?
